Frequently Asked Questions
What size holes can Spackle Hack™ repair? Spackle Hack™ repairs small drywall holes up to 1/2". Use the Drill Guide to check — if the hole fits within the center opening, it's suitable for repair.
Do I need a drill? Yes, a standard power drill is required to use the Drill Bit with Depth Stop Collar included in the kit.
Will the plugs dry out? Never. Unlike traditional spackle, Spackle Hack™ Plugs are shelf stable — store them and they'll be ready whenever you need them.
Can I paint immediately after repair? Yes. Once you've sanded the plug flush with the wall, the surface is paint-ready immediately. No drying time required.
How do I clean my tools? Use the included Metal Brush to clean caked-on wall material from the Drill Bit between repairs. Or to brush off the sand paper on the sanding side of the Setting and Sanding Block if it gets cakey from the drywall dust. The Drill Guide will collect debris — just open the hinged door on the back of the Drill Guide to empty collected drywall debris.
How many repairs can I make with one kit? Each kit includes 25 Spackle Hack™ Plugs — one plug per repair, so up to 25 repairs per kit.
